1. Using Earplugs Around Loud Noises
   From his observations, about 15% of Americans have noise-induced hearing loss related to loud noise. The use of earplugs is adequate protection against loud music in the clubs and any noise that forces you to shout at the person next to you.


2. Turning the Volume Down
   Approximately 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults worldwide suffer from hearing loss due to the unsafe use of audio devices. To avoid this, you can use the 60/60 music rule, which states that you shouldn't listen with headphones over 60% volume and no more than 60 minutes per day.


3. Never Allow Water into Your Ears
   Whenever you are enjoying your favorite water sport, you shouldn't allow water to get into your ears. Using earplugs is essential at this point, especially if you're susceptible to frequent ear infections.


4. Maintaining Good Ear Hygiene
   Maintaining good ear hygiene means using products designed to thoroughly clean the ears. Remember, earwax is a natural ear protector and should not be removed unless its amount is excessive, thickened and can cause ear blockage. However, it should only be removed with cotton swabs.


5. Exercise
   Cardio exercises such as walking, running, or cycling make pumping blood to all parts of the body more effective. Blood circulation in the ear helps keep parts of the ear healthy and maintains its normal functioning.
